Hard to believe it's been 50 years since graduation. I’ve known some of you since 1st grade – lots of good memories. It was only a few months after our graduation that major changes would take place in my life. As planned, I joined the Army 3 weeks after graduation as my goal was to eventually join the ranks of the Special Forces. However, my colorblindness kept that from happening. But, in basic training, something truly life changing would take place - I came to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Several years later, I would attain the rank of sergeant and was honorably discharged after serving my 4 years. I used the Gi Bill to go to college. In my freshman year I would meet the love of my life. We have been married for 44 years, we have 6 wonderful children and currently 12 wonderful grandchildren. I/we have continued ‘serving the Lord’ all these years! If you haven’t come to that saving knowledge, I encourage you to do so – you’ll never regret it!!! |
