Well, we did it!! The 50 year Class Reunion was a big success with more classmates attending from both White Bear and Mariner than ever! Thank you to everyone who came, whether you still live in the area or traveled from out of state. We had classmates from 12 different states attend (WA, ID, OR, CA, AZ, CO, WI, MI, IL, KY, FL & the Washington DC are) so thank you to all of you who traveled so far to celebrate with us!
We plan on keeping this website up for at least the next few years, so please share the website address with any classmates you are still in contact with, add your profile if you haven't done so already and feel free to upload any photos you might have taken at the reunion. We will also post updates occasionally as we decide and make plans for reunions in the future.
Lastly, if you have any comments or suggestions about this reunion or for future reunions, please feel free to use the "Contact" tab to send us a note. You can also use the "Memories" tab to share your thoughts on this reunion.
It was wonderful seeing all of you!!
Can you believe it's been almost 50 years since we graduated from high school? We started out separate, going through "junior high" at two separate schools (Central and Sunrise), then we were brought together for only one year at White Bear High School, only to be separated again! The history began back in 1972 when Mariner High School was built, creating a rivalry between the White Bear Bears and Mariner Dolphins. The schools "recombined" 10 years later to become White Bear Area High School North and South campuses. Classes were split with freshman and sophomores at North campus, juniors and seniors at South campus. Now, beginning with the 2024-25 school year, the South campus will become Mariner Middle school with grades 6-8 and the newly renovated North campus will become White Bear Lake Area High School with all four high school classes (9-12) in one building!
